Experience
Working at a globally known agancy such as Dentsu was an extraordinary opportunity for me, allowing me to acquire new experience, learning extensive skills and knowledge one cannot grasp in the classroom.
The company has 9 departments and within the departments it is divided further into sub teams. The producer department consist of events, still picture, moving picture, print out and radio
Not coming during the company’s open internship period, it resulted in me being one of the 3 interns in the company, the only one in the producer department, and the event team. From this I got to experience the real work environment, being treated as one of the employees and feeling like a part of the team.
I did not have a direct supervisor, the head of the production team (Ms. Yupaphan Juajamsai) told me that I were to assist anyone on the team that has an active project on hand -meaning any project that is about to have an event -. With this I was given the opportunity to work in various projects, from road shows, to big mid year conference events; meeting and working with many types of people.
From being a producer on the event team, I learnt that in order to succeed in this department you must always be active and quick on your feet. Taking notice in details, as well as the over all picture is very important, always having an alternative solution for the unpredictable occurrence of event. Furthermore, a producer in an agency work as a middle man between clients and outsource organiser. Creating what the clients want, convincing the organiser to make it happen on time but at the same time, saving the profit and time for both side.
Most of Dentsu Thailand clients are Japanese company/businesses, with this there comes certain requirements when dealing with them: being on time with everything: meetings, events starting time, planned schedule (they don’t like waiting). They are extremely detailed, all presentation during meetings must be detailed, presenting various alternative, and able to answer all their requirements.
